The National Seminar on Homoeopathy in Sports Medicine achieved a significant academic milestone with its dedicated Paper Presentation session, an event that underscored the scientific depth and evolving nature of homoeopathic research in the modern era. The session was formally opened by Dr. Vipul R. Shastri, the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Vidhyadeep University, whose presence added immense prestige to the proceedings. In his inspiring opening remarks, Dr. Shastri emphasized the critical need for evidence-based research and a visionary outlook in alternative medicine, encouraging participants to bridge the gap between traditional homoeopathic principles and the rigorous demands of professional sports medicine.
Throughout the session, a total of 20 research papers were presented by scholars and practitioners, each offering a unique scientific perspective on the integration of Homoeopathy within the athletic arena. The presentations covered a wide spectrum of essential topics, including the management of acute sports injuries, innovative strategies for non-invasive pain management, and comprehensive rehabilitation protocols. Beyond physical healing, the researchers delved into the psychological aspects of sports, presenting findings on mental relaxation techniques and the importance of maintaining cognitive focus toward competitive goals. This holistic approach highlighted how Homoeopathy can address both the physiological and psychological needs of athletes, providing a safe, side-effect-free, and effective alternative to conventional treatments.
The task of evaluating these high-quality submissions fell to the esteemed panel of judges, Dr. Madhuri Kamble and Prof. Dr. R. P. D’Souza, who brought years of clinical and academic expertise to the session. After careful deliberation based on academic rigor and research excellence, the winners were announced. Dr. Hina Patel secured the prestigious first rank, followed by Dr. Pankaj Lathia in second place and Dr. Harshna Goti in third. Recognition was also extended through consolation prizes to Dr. Laveena, Dr. Vaibhavi, and Dr. Avani Patel for their commendable contributions. Ultimately, the session served as a powerful testament to the growing relevance of Homoeopathy in sports healthcare, fostering a culture of "research that heals and knowledge that empowers" for the future of the medical community.
