Vidhyadeep University celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great pride and patriotic spirit on 26th January 2026. The programme was organized at the ground in front of Building A, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, staff, and invited guests.
The celebration commenced sharply at 8:30 a.m. with the Attention Position and Guest Invitation by NCC, followed by the Flag Hoisting Ceremony conducted by Raksha Shakti School under the guidance of Mr. Gautam Bahare. This solemn moment was accompanied by the rendition of Rashtra Geet and Janda Geet, creating a deeply patriotic atmosphere. After the flag hoisting, all attendees were seated, and the programme proceeded smoothly as per the schedule.
The Vidhyadeep University Anthem was sung collectively by all staff and students, symbolizing unity and institutional pride. Thereafter, Dr. Vipul Shastri, Hon. Provost of Vidhyadeep University, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of constitutional values, discipline, and national responsibility.
The highlight of the event was the address by the Chief Guest, Dr. Hareshbhai Khorat (M. Pharm., Ph.D.), Vice President of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Gujarat State. His inspiring speech motivated students to contribute meaningfully to society and uphold ethical and professional values. This was followed by an address by Shri Jayanthibhai Patel, Hon. President of Vidhyadeep University, who encouraged the youth to work with dedication for national development.
The programme continued with vibrant cultural performances presented by various schools. Raksha Shakti School showcased an energetic Army Dance, followed by a patriotic song by Gyan Shakti School. The Tribal Yoga Dance by Swami Vivekanand Gyanshakti Tribal Residential School of Excellence was highly appreciated for its grace and message of cultural heritage.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Pooja Desai, I/C Dean and Principal of Vidhyadeep Institute of Science, acknowledging the dignitaries, participants, organizers, and cultural teams for their valuable contributions.
The programme was gracefully anchored by Dr. Kiran Mittal, I/C Principal of Vidhyadeep Institute of Liberal Arts. The entire celebration lasted 81 minutes and concluded at 10:00 a.m. on a successful and patriotic note.
The event was coordinated under the guidance of University Event Coordinator Mr. Vishvam Thakor, with effective support from Dr. Tejal Patel (Physiotherapy Department), Dr. Harshil Vasoya, Mr. Jayendra Parmar, Mr. Gautam Bahare, and all cultural committee members. The Republic Day celebration at Vidhyadeep University truly reflected national pride, unity, and cultural diversity.
