Legal Awareness Programme was successfully conducted by the LL.B. students of Vidhyadeep Law College affiliated with Vidhyadeep University on 26th January 2026 at Sayadla Village, Olpad under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative. The programme was organized with the objective of spreading legal literacy and creating awareness about basic legal rights and remedies among rural citizens.
The students actively engaged with the local community and explained important legal concepts in a simple and accessible manner. The key topics covered during the awareness session included Constitutional Rights, Right to Education, Right to Information, Lok Adalat, Legal Aid Facilities, and Cyber Law. Special emphasis was laid on practical legal remedies available to common citizens.
To make the programme more interactive and impactful, the students also presented a short street play (drama) on cyber awareness, highlighting issues such as online fraud, cyber safety, and responsible use of digital platforms. The performance was well received and helped in effectively conveying the message to the audience.
The target audience comprised approximately 50 local villagers, including youth, women, and senior citizens. The participants showed keen interest and actively interacted with the students by asking questions related to legal rights and procedures.
The programme concluded with a positive response from the community, fulfilling the objective of legal empowerment and social awareness.
