As part of Aluna Utsav – A Celebration of Culture & Creativity, the Vidhyadeep Institute of Business Administration, Vidhyadeep University, organized a vibrant and artistic Mehndi Competition on 8th July 2025 in Room No. 104, E-Building. The event was thoughtfully coordinated by Mrs. Bhagyashree Patel, with Miss Rinal Patel and Dr. Arti Patel serving as the esteemed resource persons. Their guidance and encouragement played a vital role in ensuring the success of the event and in motivating the students to express their creativity with confidence.
The main objective of the competition was to promote cultural appreciation, encourage creativity, and nurture artistic skills among students through the age-old and graceful art of mehndi design. The competition saw active and enthusiastic participation from students across various departments, who showcased their unique sense of creativity, elegance, and precision. Each participant came up with innovative designs that beautifully represented a fusion of traditional motifs and modern artistic styles, displaying the diversity of imagination and cultural understanding. The atmosphere was filled with joy, excitement, and artistic enthusiasm as students transformed their hands into canvases of cultural expression.
The evaluation of designs was carried out based on the following judging criteria:

• Overall Presentation
An expert panel of judges meticulously assessed each design and recognized the best entries with certificates, prizes, and appreciation. The event offered participants an excellent opportunity to display their talent, learn from peers, and gain artistic exposure in a friendly, encouraging environment.
The competition also emphasized the importance of preserving India’s cultural heritage while encouraging students to explore new creative dimensions. By engaging in such cultural activities, students not only develop artistic confidence but also connect with the traditions that shape our cultural identity.
The Mehndi Competition added immense value to the celebration of Aluna Utsav, enriching it with creativity, colors, and cultural vibrance.
