On 5th June 2025, Vidhyadeep University celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. The event, organized by the Vidhyadeep Institute of Business Administration under the NSS Unit and Unnat Bharat initiative, brought together faculty members, students, and community participants to promote eco-friendly practices and raise awareness about protecting the environment.
The celebration was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice President Shri Hirenbhai Patel, who highlighted the importance of environmental protection for future generations. As part of the program, 100 saplings were distributed to encourage tree plantation and 100 reusable eco-friendly bags were given away to reduce plastic consumption in daily life. These impactful activities reflected the university’s vision of fostering a sustainable and greener future.
The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Batul Hamid, who also led an oath-taking ceremony where participants pledged to nurture and protect the environment. A special message from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was also shared, urging individuals to care for plants with the same love and affection as they care for their mothers. This message inspired participants and strengthened their emotional and cultural bond with nature.
To make the celebration more engaging, students prepared posters and slogans promoting environmental awareness, while faculty members shared real-life examples of sustainable practices. The collaborative efforts demonstrated the power of collective action in addressing global environmental challenges.
The entire event was smoothly coordinated by Mrs. Bhagyashree Patel, ensuring enthusiastic participation and impactful execution. The program concluded with a collective pledge for environmental conservation, motivating students and faculty to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives.
The World Environment Day 2025 celebration at Vidhyadeep University was more than an event—it was a movement to inspire action towards environmental protection. By combining tree plantation drives, distribution of eco-friendly bags, and motivational speeches, the university successfully blended awareness with practical action, making the day a memorable experience of responsibility, commitment, and hope for a greener tomorrow.
